Cannon given two-week ban
New Zealand Keven Mealamu (left) and Australia's Brendan Cannon
Australia hooker Brendan Cannon has been handed a two-week ban after sparking a brawl during the Wallabies 16-7 defeat by New Zealand.

The 31-year-old traded punches with opposite number Keven Mealamu in the opening match of the Tri-Nations.

Both players were sent to the sin bin in the 43rd minute but only Cannon was cited and faced a disciplinary hearing.

Cannon's suspension means he will now miss Australia's next match against South Africa in Perth on 31 July.
