Australia captain George Gregan insists victory over England on Saturday will not make up for the Wallabies' World Cup final defeat last November. "I can't see how you can get revenge for the World Cup final from this match," Gregan said.
"We're playing for the Cook Cup and that's all we are focusing on.
"It's obviously a big match and everyone is aware of that. England are the world champions and it's a very easy game to get motivated for."
Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium will host the first contest between the teams since Jonny Wilkinson's extra-time drop goal sealed England's victory.
But Wilkinson is one of 10 players missing from England's World Cup final starting side, through a combination of injuries, retirements and players rested. Australia, by contrast, will have 12 of the same line-up, with the injured Mat Rogers and Elton Flatley missing, and flanker George Smith out of favour.
Gregan will win his 98th cap for Australia on Saturday - three short of David Campese's record of 101 - and again have Stephen Larkham alongside him at fly-half.
"There are always key players in games, but Gregan and Larkham have been outstanding over a number of years for Australia," said England captain Lawrence Dallaglio.
"If they are allowed a platform on which to really boss the game, then we know how good they can be.
"It's important that we try and disrupt their pattern, because they really do run the game exceptionally well."
