Wales coach Mike Ruddock says victory in Argentina will boost his side before meeting South Africa next week. "I'm very pleased, Wales haven't won many away games against major nations in the last few years," said Ruddock.
"To beat Argentina with their forward power and reputation is a great result for us, but I'm disappointed we let them back in during the second half.
"The win will do us good and build confidence, but we must be pragmatic and stop giving away the advantage."
A key part in Wales' 35-20 win was thought to be played by a midweek meeting between Ruddock and referee Donal Courtney after Wales experienced trouble at the breakdown in the first Test.
"[Donal] explained what he wanted to see at the rucks and would not be swayed by my perspective of the tackle area and I came away from that meeting with a better perspective of his view of the tackle area," said Ruddock.
"I was able to tell my players what he expected." Wales captain Colin Charvis, who was sin binned for the second successive week, says the players took Courtney's message to heart.
"Because of the referee's interpretations we felt it was important to improve our control of the ball at ruck and maul," said Charvis.
"But the main thing that we focused on in the build-up to the second Test was our attitude.
"In the first Test in Tucuman we were very soft - our defence was very soft and we made some basic mistakes and that is something we tried to improve upon.
"Unfortunately we didn't play our rugby for 80 minutes and when we go up against South Africa we have to play for the full game or we will be punished."
