Flanker Richard Hill says Andy Robinson's appointment as England coach is just what the team needs. "I think it's a great thing for English rugby," said Hill, who is currently out with a long-term injury.
"Andy had been given the role for the forthcoming internationals but to nail things down for a more permanent future is best for all involved.
"I think he will want to be in the thick of things and very much dictating what he wants to happen on the pitch."
Robinson was Sir Clive Woodward's assistant when England won the World Cup in 2003 but Hill expects the new boss will introduce fresh ideas into the national set-up.
"I think Robbo probably has clear ideas of what he wanted to do with the team if he was in charge - this will give him the opportunity to do that," Saracens player Hill added on Radio Five Live.
