Philip cleared over tackle
Scotland centre Tom Phillip walks off the pitch after defeat to Ireland
Phillip made his international debut this season
Scotland centre Tom Philip has been cleared of foul play over a citing incident against Ireland last Saturday.

The Edinburgh player was reported for a high tackle on Ireland captain Brian O'Driscoll that was not punished by match referee Nigel Williams.

He appeared before a Six Nations disciplinary panel which decreed the tackle was only worthy of a yellow card, rather than a red.

The panel does not have the power to issue yellow card penalties.

Philip could have faced a ban of up to eight weeks if found guilty of a more serious offence.

There were fears he may have missed Edinburgh's Heineken Cup quarter-final against Toulouse on 10 April.
