Ireland captain Brian O'Driscoll could not hold off his sheer delight at defeating world champions England 19-13 at Twickenham. O'Driscoll insisted that the side had real belief in their ability to cause a famous upset.
"That feels pretty good. We said all week that they have an outstanding record here, and it had to go at some stage," he said.
"So why not us. It was the self belief that was the big thing this week."
O'Driscoll, who had not one of his more accomplished performances, agreed that there were a few nervous incidents.
''In the second half there were one or two hairy, scary moments, but we managed to pull through," he said.
''We kicked a lot and played a lot of territory. But I'm so delighted, it was such a huge performance from us.''
