Catt in injury setback
Mike Catt
Catt has not played since last November
Mike Catt looks set to miss England's Six Nations opener against Italy after failing to recover from a calf injury.

The utility back picked up the problem in training last week and has been ruled out of Bath's Zurich Premiership game against Wasps this weekend.

Catt has not played since last November, having been consistently troubled by hamstring problems.

A fit Catt could have been considered as a replacement for Jonny Wilkinson at fly-half.

A host of other England players are still hoping to prove themselves in the final weekend of Zurich Premiership action before England coach Clive Woodward picks his side next Wednesday.
