A decision will be made on David Humphreys later in the week

David Humphreys is the only Ulster player not being made immediately available for the Celtic Cup final against Edinburgh on 20 December.

Ireland are taking a 30-man squad to Lanzarote for a week-long fitness camp from 14-21 December at the La Santa training centre in preparation for the Six Nations Championship.

However, Irish coach Eddie O'Sullivan has released Gary Longwell, Simon Best, Neil Doak, Tyrone Howe, Paul Shields and Paddy Wallace for the Murrayfield final.

O'Sullivan, though, will make a final decision on Humphreys later in the week.

The 32-year-old fly-half is now the senior member of the Ireland squad and will be a key member of Ireland's Six Nations challenge this season.

O'Sullivan has included uncapped Brian O'Riordan and David Quinlan for the warm-weather training.

O'Riordan is a former Ireland under-21 scrum-half while his Leinster colleague Quinlan is a big, hard-running centre.

Llanelli flanker Simon Easterby is the only overseas player cleared to travel. Brother Guy, Kevin Maggs as well as shadow World Cup squad players Paul Burke, Kieron Dawson, Justin Fitzpatrick, and Justin Bishop were not included.

As it is primarily a fitness camp rather than a rugby week, O'Sullivan has decided not to press for their release.

Not considered due to injury were Jonny Bell, Denis Hickie, Geordan Murphy, Leo Cullen and Alan Quinlan.
