Luger has picked up a knee injury |
Four players have withdrawn with injuries from the England squad to face the Barbarians at Twickenham on Sunday. Wings Michael Stephenson (Newcastle) and Dan Luger (Harlequins), Leeds flanker Dan Hyde and Bristol prop Andrew Sheridan did not report to the squad's hotel after consultation with England doctor Simon Kemp.
Stephenson has a minor shoulder injury and Hyde is suffering from bruised rib cartilage.
Luger and Sheridan will also not be considered after picking up a knee injury and bruised hip respectively.
Having named a 28-man squad initially, head coach Clive Woodward has opted not to call up any replacements.
All four players are expected to be fit and available for selection for England's two summer tours to New Zealand and Australia, and Canada.
