83 mins: A lucky bounce gives France the chance to seal victory with a try. They are stopped but then Yachvili cleverly kicks across the field. Logan is under the ball but Rougerie nips in and athletically takes it and touches down. Aptly, Gelez, who has had an excellent game, kicks over for a conversion in the last action of the game.
France 38-3 Scotland

81 mins: France steal possession and break forward in a well-worked movement. Magne crosses for the try but he has not heard the referee blow for a forward pass earlier in the move.

79 mins: Scotland are still trying to make the breakthrough and land their first try of the current Six Nations campaign. France bring on Jean-Baptiste Rue for Rafael Ibanez

76 mins: Blair replaces Redpath and officially makes his Six Nations debut (blood replacements do not count).

73 mins: More replacements for France - Sebastien Chabal comes on for Imanol Harinordoquy and Dimitri Yachvili, making his Six Nations debut, replaces captain Fabien Galthie.

72 mins: Townsend cleverly chips forward. Utterson is in support but fumbles the pick-up and Scotland's try-scoring opportunity passes by.

68 mins: There is a huge roar from the Stade de France crowd as Thomas Castaignede comes on to replace Clerc.

67 mins: Townsend lofts a high ball forward and Poitreneau does well to hold onto the catch under pressure from Paterson.

66 mins: The French make some substitutions of their own - Christian Califano and David Auradou come on for Sylvain Marconnet and Olivier Brouzet.

63 mins: Scotland's Glenn Metcalfe has to scamper back to prevent Aurelien Rougerie reaching the ball first.

61 mins: Scotland ring the changes in an effort to get something out of the match. Brendan Laney goes off with Townsend switching to fly-half. Gavin Kerr comes on for Bruce Douglas.

60 mins: Betsen intercepts the ball and the French drive forward. Gelez chips forward and Damien Traille collects and deposits the ball between the posts for France's third try. Gelez then converts.
France 31-3 Scotland

55 mins: A beautifully-weighted kick from Poitrenaud turns defence into attack for France but Scotland steal the ball and push the home team back into their own half.

53 mins: Jason White comes on to replace Scott Murray for Scotland.

51 mins: After a scrappy period, Scotland manage to apply a bit of pressure to the French back line. But the move breaks down when Mower is judged offside.

46 mins: Kevin Utterson charges down Clerc's kick and France are lucky that the ball breaks kindly for them.

45 mins: Paterson cleverly kicks ahead but the French are able to touch down behind their own line to avert the danger.

43 mins: Xavier Garbajosa breaks for France but a knock-on ends the move.

41 min: The best possible start to the second half for France. The French steal the ball and break - Poitrenaud is the man extra and he goes over the Scotland line unchallenged. Gelez makes simple work of the conversion, even though it is on the wrong side of the pitch for the left-footer.
France 24-3 Scotland

1459 GMT: Scotland's Gregor Townsend gets the second half under way.


42 mins: Scotland are penalised again by referee Peter Marshall, who could be accused of being a little whistle-happy. Gelez pops the ball over in the last action of the first half.
France 17-3 Scotland

40 mins: Mower has to leave the pitch after a thumping clash of heads with Olivier Magne. Jon Petrie comes on as his replacement.

37 mins: Blair steals the ball from the French but has no support from his team-mates. It is his last action of the game for now for him as Redpath returns.

30 mins: France break again - the move falters with a knock-on but the home side are threatening to run away with the game.

28 mins: A beautiful, flowing French move is finally halted by Mike Blair but France are given a penalty after a high tackle by Gregor Townsend. Gelez's left boot makes the penalty look simple.
France 14-3 Scotland

25 mins: Another blow for Scotland as Bryan Redpath has to leave the field with blood streaming from a cut on the top of his hair. Mike Blair comes on as a blood replacement.

22 mins: France give the ball away at a line-out and Scotland seize possession and force a penalty. Paterson shakes his head ruefully as his right-footed kick swings just outside the posts.

18 mins: Mower is again guilty of giving away a penalty and Gelez makes Scotland pay.
France 11-3 Scotland

15 mins: Some quick-thinking from Clement Poitrenaud catches Scotland cold and France are two-on-one - but luckily for the visitors, the referee blows his whistle to bring play back.

13 mins: Logan, receiving the ball out on the wing well into his own half, cuts back inside the field and penetrates the French line. He cannot follow up his kick but has put Scotland in a good attacking position.

8 mins: From a penalty at an acute angle, France kick out for a line-out and then push Fabien Pelous over the line for the first try of the game. Gelez's conversion attempt floats wide. France 8-3 Scotland

7 mins: France break down the wing through Vincent Clerc and Scotland have to scramble to prevent him sneaking in, Kenny Logan producing the saving tackle.

5 mins: An early chance for Scotland to draw level as Serge Betsen is penalised. Chris Paterson boots the ball confidently between the posts.
France 3-3 Scotland

2 mins: Scotland's Andrew Mower is penalised for holding on to the ball and Gelez calms any early nerves with a simple penalty.
France 3-0 Scotland

1402 GMT: Debutant Francois Gelez kicks off for France on an overcast day in Paris.
