![]() | Friday, 15 February, 2002, 13:49 GMT Dwyer's heart scare ![]() Bob Dwyer in action on the training field New South Wales coach Bob Dwyer has travelled home from New Zealand with his team after a heart scare. The 61-year-old complained of chest pains during the Waratah's game with the Canterbury Crusaders on Thursday. The World Cup winning former Australia coach missed much of his sides two-point defeat in Bleinham after he was rushed to hospital. He returned to the sidelines for the last five minutes of the game, long enough to see his team lose 33-31. Dwyer attended the post-match function and insisted that he felt fine. Waratah manager Dave Gibson said Dwyer was feeling positive. "The tests were more of a precautionary thing, he doesn't have any history of heart problems and we are expecting everything to be okay." Dwyer is set to be in charge for the Waratahs' opening Super 12 match against the Chiefs in Rotorua next Saturday. | See also: Other top International stories: Links to more International stories are at the foot of the page. | ||
