![]() | Tuesday, 29 January, 2002, 12:30 GMT Scots release Canada dates ![]() The Scots will face Canada in Vancouver on 15 June Scotland have confirmed the itinerary for their summer tour of Canada. The four matches are part of coach Ian McGeechan's preparations for the 2003 World Cup. There will be on Test match, in Vancouver on 15 June. McGeechan said: "The tour will be very important for us in continuing to develop our squad with the 2003 World Cup on the horizon. "Traditionally, Canadian rugby has been well served with quality international players. "Remember, they reached the quarter-finals of the 1991 World Cup and I am sure that the standard of their game now will prove a testing challenge to our squad." Itinerary: 5 June - Canada East v Scotland in Kingston, Ontario 8 June - Rugby Canada v Scotland in Toronto 11 June - Canada West v Scotland in Victoria, British Columbia 15 June - Canada v Scotland (Test match) in Vancouver. Venues and kick-off times are still to be confirmed. |
