Exiles revel in Pau
Paul Sackey is an England A international
Sackey scored a brilliant solo try in the second-half
Pau 9-38 London Irish

London Irish scored 26 second-half points to beat Pau 38-9 and advance into the semi-finals of the Parker Pen Shield.

Brendan Venter's men led 12-3 at the break after the boot of Barry Everitt had kicked four penalties.

He did not reappear after the break, but his replacement James Brown took up where he left off.

  Scores and scorers
London Irish 38 Tries: Sackey, Worsley. Cons: Brown 2. Pens: Everitt 3, Brown 3. Drop Goals: Everitt, Brown.
Pau 9 Pens: Pearson, Traille 2.
Brown kicked three penalties, dropped a goal and converted his side's two second-half tries to give a convincing edge to the scoreline.

Pau lost their composure as the points mounted and Scottish referee Rob Dickson, who had earlier sin-binned a player from each side, sent off replacement lock Guillaume Chasserieau for a punch with six minutes to go.

England A squad wing Paul Sackey had earlier ripped apart the home defence for a wonder try and prop Mike Worsley ran in from 12 metres.

They now join Sale Sharks and Gloucester in the semi-final draw.

Pau: Traille, Bomati, Cistacq, Carbonneau, Arbo, Pearson, Siro, Larrouy, Racine, Laperne, Cleda, Lagouarde, Harinordoqui, Agueb, Gouloumet. Replacements: Triep-Capdeville, Pedaille, Chasseriau, Bordenave, Cambres, Warner, Guilhem.
