Newcastle's rescheduled Premiership fixture with Leeds has been postponed for a second time because of a frozen pitch at Kingston Park.

The match had originally been due to take place on Boxing Day but was put back to Monday because attempts to defrost the playing surface failed.

But despite the efforts of the Falcons' ground staff areas around the edge of the pitch were deemed unplayable.

No new date has yet been set for a rearranged game.
