Worcester Warriors' Neil Best leans on experience

Worcester Warriors' Neil Best says he hopes his experiences with Northampton Saints will be of use to his new club.

The Ireland back-row forward, who agreed to join Warriors in January, was one of Saints' first signings when they won promotion to the Premiership.

He told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "They had just been promoted, and went from Championship to eighth in the Premiership and then second.

"I want to see the same here, I want to see us a top six Premiership club."

The 31-year-old from Belfast says the Warriors have everything in pace to bounce back to the top flight.

I am a professional, so I play whoever is there in front of me - Premiership or Championship, it does not matter

"The indoor facility is pretty slick, and there are bits and bobs we need to change, but we are on the right track," he added.

"It's not a short-term plan, it will take three or four years to get there."

Best is looking forward to the challenge and says it does not matter which division he plays in: "I am a professional, so I play whoever is there in front of me - Premiership or Championship, it does not matter."
