Strettle bade farewell to Harlequins with a fine try |
Harlequins ended the Premiership season with a five-try win over Sale. George Lowe and David Strettle scored early tries for Quins before Charlie Hodgson landed a penalty for Sale before going off injured. Mathew Tait's converted try made it 12-10 and Lee Thomas then edged Sale in front with a drop-goal. Quins hit back through Nick Easter and although Sale cut the gap through Sisa Koyamaibole, Jordan Turner-Hall and Tom Williams ensured victory for the hosts.
Harlequins director of rugby Conor O'Shea: "I find it disappointing that our discipline was poor on a number of occasions - that has been a problem this season for us. "But I find it amazing that so many big decisions are wrong this campaign. "It was an emotional send-off for David Strettle and Tani Fuga, and it was a good end to the season." Sale director of rugby Kingsley Jones: "I think the fifth try was cruel because in that second half I thought the very least we would do would be to draw. "But I think there are a lot of positives to be taken by both teams. "Dean Schofield ends his stay with us and it was probably his best game so we wish him all the best."
