Coventry and Birmingham & Solihull have been fined £1500 and deducted five points after a brawl during this month's match at the Butts Park Arena.

The punishment handed out at a Rugby Football Union disciplinary meeting on Thursday has been suspended for a year.

Players from both clubs were involved in fighting at the end of the match on 5 February, which Cov won 24-7.

Bees hooker Stuart Philpott, who was involved in the brawl after being replaced was given a two-week ban.
