Nottingham beaten by Rotherham Titans

Glenn Delaney
Delaney says Nottingham will be tough to contain in the play-offs

Nottingham suffered a shock 30-22 defeat at the hands of struggling Rotherham Titans on Tuesday afternoon.

Glenn Delaney's side started superbly when winger Jack Cobden went over in the corner in the second minute.

But despite Don Blake grabbing a second try for the visitors, Rotherham hit back with three converted tries to lead 27-10 soon after the half-time break.

Titans held on to secure the win despite a converted Tom Youngs try and a further score from Sam Harrison.

The defeat is the second in a row for Nottingham, who are in fifth spot in the Championship table.

Nottingham were also beaten by 18-3 by Munster A in the their British and Irish Cup Pool on Friday night.
