Quins fly-half Evans scored a cracking solo try for the Londoners |
Harlequins claimed a bonus point for scoring four tries as they beat Gloucester in the Guinness Premiership. A Gareth Delve try helped Gloucester into an 8-0 lead before George Lowe went over for a converted Quins try. Charlie Sharples claimed Gloucester's second try but, after an exchange of penalties, Nick Evans put Quins in front with a superb solo try. Nick Easter and Lowe added further tries for Quins and Sharples' second try was not enough for Gloucester.
Harlequins coach John Kingston: "I thought we played some wonderful rugby in passages and I did not think the score did justice to us. "They played some good rugby in the second half when they had to claw their way back, but I'm very pleased with our performance. "We still have players out injured, so I am very pleased with what we did and how we played out there." Gloucester boss Bryan Redpath: "I was happy with a lot of things, but unhappy with some of the one on one situations where we made mistakes. "You have to be careful what you say about officials these days. "But I was not happy with some of what happened, to both teams. I don't think it was of the right standard."
