Three late tries inside five minutes secured Wasps victory over Saracens at Adam's Park and notched up their fourth straight win.

Danny Cipriani kicked Wasps into a narrow 9-6 lead before Noah Cato put Saracens on course for victory on 50 minutes with the game's first try.

But Wasps broke free on 71 minutes with Rob Hoadley touching down before Paul Sackey and Josh Lewsey also scored.

Cato added another try for Saracens but it was not enough for the visitors.

Both sides were guilty of wasting opportunities and in the early stages Cipriani missed a kickable penalty and a drop-goal attempt.

But the out-of-form fly-half did enough to take the home side into the break with a three-point lead.

Glen Jackson brought the scores level with a penalty before Alex Goode fed England Under-20 winger Cato, who ran clear to touch down.

The introduction of Dave Walder seemed to spark Wasps back into life as he kicked them to within five points of Saracens.

Hoadley, a late replacement for Dominic Waldouck, ran in the home side's first try before Sackey charged down a Cato kick to put Wasps back in front.

Lewsey spotted a gap in the Sarries defence for a third try before Cato got back in the action, beating two men to score his second of the match.

Wasps boss Ian McGeechan:
"I was concerned we did not have enough points on the board but we played some of the best rugby I have seen in a while in the first half.

"We produced a great effort in the last quarter to play the rugby we had in the first half and it resulted in three tries - and this was the result we deserved."

Saracens boss Eddie Jones:
"It's simple defence that wins big games and that is what cost us.

"We had the right attitude but for some reason we lost concentration and our defence was not good enough.

"We made improvements but we were still not good enough - we had opportunities to win the game but by missing them we allowed Wasps back in."
