Bedford will make his first Chiefs start for two years on Saturday |
Exeter Chiefs have recalled centre Tom Bedford from his loan spell at Launceston as they struggle to find cover in the position. The Chiefs are without Bryan Rennie, Mark Fatialofa, Matt Cornwell and Wade Kelly through injury and need the 19-year-old back at Sandy Park. He will start alongside new signing Paul McKenzie for Exeter at Newbury. "I have played for Launceston for the last couple of week so I am match fit," Bedford said. And he says he is confident the partnership between himself and McKenzie, who only joined the Chiefs from Ulster last week, will flourish. "I have got to know Paul over the last couple of weeks and have got to train alongside him. He is a very experienced player," he said.
