Nottingham director of rugby Glenn Delaney has been invited to take charge of the world-famous Barbarians in the annual Mobbs Memorial match.

The Baa-Baas will play Bedford at the Goldington Road ground in April 2009.

Delaney, who played for the Barbarians twice in 2003 and 2004, told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I'm really pleased and it is an honour to be involved.

"Everyone is also so genuinely excited to turn up and to get a chance to wear that famous jersey."
