Nottingham ensured the fight for second spot in National One will go down to the last game of the season thanks to a five-try 31-7 away victory over Esher.

Nottingham were not at their best but secured a bonus point win to stay level on points with second-placed Exeter.

First-half tries by Alex Dodge, Rohaan Nirmalendran and Matt Smith effectively sealed the win, Luke Sherriff and Ben Thompson also crossing after the break.

The Green and Whites are at Coventry on Saturday while Exeter visit Doncaster.

The Chiefs are currently above Nottingham in the table due to the fact that they have won one more match.
