Delaney was delighted with his side's display at Franklin's Gardens |
Nottingham coach Glenn Delaney was full of praise for his side's efforts in their 17-10 defeat away to runaway National One champions Northampton. Delaney's side led 7-6 thanks to Matt Parr's converted try but had Joe Duffey sent off just before the break. Saints went on to grind out the victory in the second half with Joe Ansbro scoring their only try. Delaney said: "I couldn't be more proud of those players. That was our best defensive performance of the season." He added: "To keep a Premiership club in check for the whole of the second half with only 14 men was immense."
