Rabeni was a member of Fiji's 2007 World Cup squad |
Leicester centre Seru Rabeni has been given a three-week ban for a dangerous tackle on Newcastle's Jamie Noon. The Fiji star pleaded guilty to the incident during the Tigers' 41-14 win over Newcastle on 26 January.
Rabeni, 29, will miss the next three Premiership games - against Gloucester, London Irish and Sale Sharks.
Another Leicester player, Andy Goode, has avoided a ban after being cited for a dangerous tackle on Jonny Wilkinson during the same game.
The Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel ruled that the yellow card Goode was shown at the time was sufficient punishment and he is free to continue playing.
