England recovered from a woeful start to the New Zealand Sevens to beat Argentina 12-7 in the Bowl final. England lost to Wales, Fiji and the Cook Islands on day one but saw off Canada and France on Saturday.
Argentina led at half-time in the final after a try by Alejandro Abadie but England hit back through Anthony Elliot before wing Matt Banahan crashed over.
New Zealand beat Samoa for their third title this season, while Wales lost to South Africa in the plate final.
James Harris and James Lewis scored consolation tries for Wales after Vuyo Zangqa, MJ Mentz and Mpho Mbiyozo scored for the Springboks.
The teams now move on to the USA for the IRB San Diego Sevens on 9 and 10 February.
