Mike Tindall completed a fairytale comeback with a try as Guinness Premiership leaders Gloucester romped to victory over Worcester.

The England centre was ruled out of the World Cup, but returned on the day that Kingsholm unveiled a new �10m stand.

A record crowd of 15,781 watched a scrappy first half before James Simpson-Daniel cut loose to score.

Olivier Azam bundled over from a catch and drive and then Marcel Garvey gifted Tindall the sweetest score of the game.

"This is a significant step forward for the club.

"Everybody should be aware that there has been masses of work to get this game on. We knew it was a tight deadline, so credit to everybody.

"I'm pleased we played a part to make it a bit of a party."

"We made a fantastic clean line-break before losing possession and Gloucester scored. One pass let us down.

"I felt we drove well, but were prevented from getting too much reward. It's a balance between mixing the game up and keeping it tight as well.

"You could argue that Gloucester should have had a sin-binning when you could see them coming around mauls offside."
