Dallaglio is 34 and has played in two previous World Cups |
England coach Brian Ashton says he has not ruled out recalling veteran former captain Lawrence Dallaglio to play at the World Cup later this year. Wasps skipper Dallaglio has won 77 caps and last started an England Test in June 2004.
"He has never been out of the frame in terms of our thinking," said Ashton.
"He has very good leadership skills on the field. It may well be we decide that is something we need, come World Cup time."
The 34-year-old helped Wasps land their second Heineken Cup in four seasons when they beat Leicester at Twickenham last month.

He must now wait for the announcement of Ashton's likely 40-man World Cup training squad on Wednesday week to see if he has a chance of playing in his third World Cup.
"He'd not had a great season, by his own admission, up to and including the first part of the Six Nations," said Ashton.
"In my opinion, I think he played better and better this season once the Heineken Cup knockout stages began."
