Ryan's Gloucester side finished level on points with Leicester |
Dean Ryan says his Gloucester side will have to out-think Leicester if they are to become Premiership champions.
Gloucester finished on top of the table at the end of the regular season but the Tigers will start Saturday's final at Twickenham as favourites.
"I think Leicester can choose which type of game they play and we have less of that luxury," said Ryan.
"We've got to be smarter. The challenge is whether we can take the right choice and get the right amount of movement."
Leicester, who are chasing an unprecedented treble, have power throughout their team, with a dominant pack augmented by block-busting backs like Samoan winger Alesana Tuilagi.

Gloucester play a more elusive style, and Ryan admitted they will have to pick and choose their moments to attack if they are not to be punished.
"There are sides in the Premiership that, with the broken field runners we've got, we could be a little bit more expressive against," said the Gloucester boss.
"However, against Leicester you have to get that shot selection right, because if you get it wrong it will result in a turnover, it will result in a penalty, it will probably result in seven points for them.
"A lot of emphasis this week has been on understanding what our game's about and then knowing how to apply it against a side such as Leicester."

The Tigers, who have already won the EDF Energy Cup and are through to the final of the Heineken Cup, may have lost the last two Premiership finals but they will have the greater experience at Twickenham.
Yet Ryan is confident his players, including the likes of 20-year-olds Ryan Lamb and Anthony Allen, will be up to the task on Saturday.
"This season we've been in tournaments and in games that they've never been in before," he said.
"In the past nine months we've had enough of those learning experiences to say that we can compete now, hence the position in the league."
