Second-half tries from Jake Boer and Ryan Lamb helped Gloucester claim a hard-fought victory over Newcastle to go top of the Premiership.
The home side trailed 15-7 just after the break thanks to Jamie Noon's two tries and Jonny Wilkinson's kicking.
But Gloucester, led by Boer, dug deep and Willie Walker cut the gap with a penalty and two conversions.
Once Lamb went over with 10 minutes to go, Gloucester took control and held firm for the victory.
Newcastle director of rugby John Fletcher:
"I'm not satisfied with just a bonus point because we came here to win. "We shot ourselves in the foot by giving away easy penalties and Gloucester didn't have to work too hard to get into those areas."
He added: "Jamie Noon wins collisions offensively and defensively and he shouldn't be underestimated.
"Jonny Wilkinson and Toby Flood have got good hands, but he's as good as any of them."
Gloucester flanker Jake Boer on his try:
"It was something we do on the training ground and it was nice to see it come off. "I can't remember the last time I had space like that open up in front of me. It was a fantastic feeling and a good day overall."
