Northampton winger David Smith is handed the chance to impress |
New England Sevens coach Ben Ryan has named two new caps in his first squad since taking over from Mike Friday. Northampton wing David Smith, 18, and Gloucester's Mark Foster, 23, are the two new faces for the Wellington and San Diego IRB Sevens tournaments.
Exeter's Tony Roques will make his first appearance since suffering a serious leg injury in October 2005.
"This squad includes several young players who are all breaking into their Premiership first teams," said Ryan.
"Sevens is all about developing young players for England and moving them along the elite player pathway.
"Wellington and San Diego will test these youngsters both mentally and physically and we will get a good indication of how they can cope with this level of international rugby."
