Pens: Burke 2 Leicester moved closer to a place in the semi-finals of the EDF Energy Cup after overwhelming Worcester. The Tigers scored five tries with a brace for Daryl Gibson backed up by efforts from John Murphy, Sam Vesty and James Buckland. Worcester fought back late on through a powerful break and score from Gavin Quinnell and a late opportunist effort from Ben Gotting. But Gibson went over for his second try on full-time to complete the win.
Tigers boss Pat Howard:
"Olly Smith is coming back to form, he's got genuine pace and the way he handled the first try was very good. "He's a genuine threat and I certainly wouldn't like to mark him. He's not in the England picture at the moment but he's progressing pretty well. "We missed some crucial opportunities that kept them in the game. "We kept our composure but we've got to be more clinical because the big teams don't give you chances." Worcester coach Anthony Eddy:
"Leicester came here with a very good team and a plan to get the bonus point to put them on top of the group. "They got off to a fantastic start with two good early tries but at the start of the second half we came up with a good score and got in some good positions but couldn't finish. "It's been the story over our lives."
