Quinnell follows brother Scott out of Stradey Park |
Llanelli Scarlets and ex-Wales Under-21 forward Gavin Quinnell has joined Worcester Warriors on a two-year deal. The 6ft 7ins lock cum back-rower, 22, has scored five tries in 23 appearances for the Stradey Park region.
"Gavin's got huge potential and raw talent, it's up to him and us to ensure he becomes top class, it's an exciting move," said Worcester boss John Brain.
Quinnell's Llanelli exit comes a month after elder brother Scott chose to walk away from a coaching job at the region.
Another brother, Cardiff Blues lock and ex-Wales international Craig, retired at the end of last season because of a neck problem.
Gavin's move means that none of the famous rugby family will be involved in top-flight Welsh rugby next season.
