Bath have completed the signings of Viadana scrum-half Pietro Travagli and London Irish lock Matt Banahan. Travagli, who has won two caps for Italy, scored for his club against Northampton last season.
The 25-year old will battle with Nick Walshe, Andy Williams and Martyn Wood for the number nine shirt.
Jersey-born second rower Banahan only took up the game two-and-a-half years ago and has been a member of the Exiles academy since last summer.
"Matt is an exciting signing for the club," said Bath rugby director Jack Rowell.
"He is a young player and, whilst not having played the game for long, is skilful, highly athletic and has a keen appetite for the game.
"Pietro is a young and talented scrum half who comes with a high recommendation from our former coach Brian Ashton."
