Maddock has two tries from his last two league games |
Bath wing Joe Maddock has signed a new two-year contract that will keep him at the Recreation Ground until 2008. The 27-year-old, who joined from Canterbury in 2004, had a slow start to his Bath career because of injury but is now a regular in the squad.
"I am back in shape and my body is handling the rigors of being a professional rugby player much better," Maddock said.
"I can feel myself getting back to the old Joe and I am enjoying my rugby."
Maddock, who has missed Bath's Heineken Cup run as he is not registered for the competition, has been used at centre, full-back and on the wing during the latter part of the league campaign.
And Bath coach Brian Ashton added: "He has played particularly well in the second half of the season in a number of positions and he is a back-three player who should add some excitement to our game next season."
