Live on BBC TV, radio and online Worsley has tended to excel in cup finals for Wasps |
England flanker Joe Worsley insists Wasps will not under-estimate the threat posed by Llanelli Scarlets in Sunday's Powergen Cup final. "We are under no illusions that Llanelli are going to be a tough nut to crack," Worsley told BBC Five Live.
"They have a desire to get the ball wide and play a bit of rugby which is one of their key strengths.
"Attacking-wise they score some cracking tries and have got some real pace which is always very scary."
Worsley might have been recalling the dazzling try scored by Wales wing Mark Jones as the Scarlets beat Wasps 21-13 in a Heineken Cup pool clash at Stradey Park in December.
The England flanker also admitted the Scarlets pack were a "real handful" in both European clashes, despite Wasps winning the return fixture 48-14 in High Wycombe.

The Welsh "Cup kings" will nevertheless do well to repeat their Powergen semi-final win over Bath against the English champions of the past three years. Since losing to Saracens in the 1998 final of the old Tetley's Bitter Cup, Wasps have proved the masters of the one-off showdown, winning their last seven cup finals, six of them at Twickenham.
"I didn't win much with England this year but winning trophies is what we are all about at Wasps," Worsley added.
"The success we have had over the last few years is something we want to continue. I know from before that what lean years are like and how bad you feel if you finish the season empty-handed.
"Six or seven years ago the cup was a much bigger deal and then it waned a bit. But this year it has been reinvigorated by the addition of the Welsh clubs and a lot more prize money.
"As a consequence it has become a much more important tournament and the desire to win it has gone up massively."
