Flatman has been plagued by injury problems |
Bath prop David Flatman has signed a new three-year contract with the club. Flatman, 26, joined Bath from Saracens in the summer of 2003 and his new deal will see him through to the end of the 2008/09 season.
"I'm delighted to be signing a new deal," said Flatman. "It's all I've wanted for the last couple of years."
Bath coach Brian Ashton said: "He's relatively young for a prop and I look forward to seeing him play for the club in the coming seasons."
Ashton added: "He has already played at international level and I have no doubt that had he not sustained his Achilles tendon injury he would have already played on many more occasions for England."
The Achilles injury ruled Flatman out for much of last season.
