The talented Lund was dropped during England's tour of Australia |
Sale flanker Magnus Lund is eager to prove Andy Robinson wrong and secure a place in England's squad ahead of next year's World Cup in France. Lund, 23, was in England's starting line-up for the first Test against Australia in June but found himself on the bench for the second encounter.
"I was disappointed not to make the second game but you've got to accept things like that," said Lund.
"Hopefully I'll get another chance to prove the selectors wrong."
Lund was one of Sale's leading players in last season's Premiership-winning campaign and has been named in England's Elite Player Squad.
He played 57 minutes in the first Test in Sydney, which England lost 34-3, before losing his starting place to Bath's Michael Lipman for the second match in Melbourne, which the tourists lost 43-18.
"It was difficult, losing and being over there at the end of a long, hard season," said Lund.

"There was quite a lot of frustration but I was chuffed to be out there in the first place.
"I'm absolutely delighted to have been picked again. Hopefully it will progress to bigger things, but at the moment I'm just knuckling down."
Despite England's two sound defeats at the hands of the Wallabies, Lund was impressed with the side's team spirit and maintains they are on target for next year's World Cup defence.
"The momentum is starting to build," said Lund. "A good core has been put together.
"A couple of things just need to click into place and you could see a good England team in the tournament."
Meanwhile, Lund believes he can perform even better than last year for Sale, where he formed a formidable back-row unit with Scotland skipper Jason White and France's Sebastien Chabal.
"You always want to improve on what you've done in the past and as a young guy coming through, you want to improve every season," said Lund.
"I'll keep working hard during pre-season and when the games start to come, I want to be hitting the ground running again."
