England lock Grewcock has been sent off or cited six times in his career |
Bath lock Danny Grewcock is free to play for England against France on Sunday after being censured but not cited over allegations of foul play. Grewcock appeared to stamp on Scarlets' fly-half Mike Hercus as Bath lost 27-26 in Saturday's Powergen Cup semi-final.
But after reviewing video evidence, citing officer Ken Pattinson decided a disciplinary hearing was not required.
Instead Pattinson issued Grewcock, capped 62 times by England, with a warning for reckless use of the boot.
Meanwhile, Leicester hooker George Chuter was cited for an alleged stamp on Wasps counterpart Raphael Ibanez in Saturday's first Powergen Cup semi-final.
Chuter will appear before a disciplinary panel in London on 14 March - and under Six Nations Championship regulations he is suspended from international rugby until then.
The Tigers decided to suspend Chuter until after his appearance at the disciplinary hearing.
He could face a ban of four weeks or more depending on how the panel views the incident.
