Newcastle back Joe Shaw has signed a new two-year deal that will keep him at the Kingston Park club until 2008. The 26-year-old, who has also played for Sale and Northampton, has scored two tries in just four starts for the Falcons this season.
"Joe has worked very hard in coming back from injury and continues to give us options in a number of positions," said rugby director Rob Andrew.
"We believe he has a great deal to offer the club."
