Harlequins have retained the services of captain Andre Vos and Lions star Will Greenwood for next season's campaign in National League One.
The pair, along with a number of other leading players, have agreed to stay despite the club having been relegated from the Zurich Premiership.
"Vos and Greenwood have extended their contract for another year," Quins spokesman Nick Melton told BBC Sport.
"We're delighted that there was a loyalty pact among the players."
Melton added that Greenwood would be on the same contract, despite the club's lower revenue potential as they are outside the Premiership.
Experienced campaigner Tony Diprose, and Ugo Monye and Mike Worsley, who will both be part of England's Churchill Cup squad in Canada next month, have also agreed to be part of the Harlequins set-up for next season.
"The response we've had from the squad has been magnificent and I'm sure the news about which players are staying will be a tremendous fillip for everyone associated with the club," said Mark Evans, Harlequins chief executive.
"Given the loyalty the players have shown and the talent that as a group they possess, I'm very confident that we can achieve our aim of returning to the Premiership at the first attempt.
"There is going to be an excellent blend of both experience and youth in the squad."
