London Wasps have signed Samoa prop Justin Va'a for the remainder of the season as a replacement for Kiwi David van Eyk. Van Eyk has been forced to withdraw from the Londoners' squad because of a serious neck injury.
Va'a featured in the Samoan side that lost 40-3 to England during last month's international at Twickenham.
The 27-year-old, who has previously represented Wellington's NPC side, can play either side of the scrum.
Wasps director of rugby Ian McGeechan said: "Justin impressed us when he played for Samoa against England in the autumn internationals.
"He is very important back-up for us as he has the ability to play on both sides of the scrum, I'm delighted to have him with us."
