Mixed injury news for Newcastle
Newcastle wing Tom May has been told he did not break his left leg in his side's win over London Wasps.

However, May has been diagnosed with damaged ankle ligaments that will keep him sidelined for around six weeks.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that scrum-half Lee Dickson damaged knee ligaments in the same match.

The 20-year-old will require a reconstruction and will be out of action for around eight months, meaning he will not play again this season.

In addition, prop David Wilson will undergo further investigations on an injury to his ankle after also being forced to leave the field on Sunday.

Falcons director of rugby Rob Andrew said: "We are devastated for Lee Dickson to have suffered such a serious injury just when he was breaking in to the first team set-up."
