Bristol took a step nearer to promotion to the Zurich Premiership with a crushing 68-15 win over nearest rivals Exeter at Memorial Stadium. Exeter easily beat Bristol on their own ground in February, but on Sunday they were handed a nine-try mauling.
Bristol led 30-3 at the break and four tries - including one from Argentine Manuel Contepomi - in 20 minutes after the interval sealed Exeter's fate.
Contepomi went on to score a hat-trick as Bristol took a six-point lead.
