England coach Andy Robinson lavished praise on Andy Farrell after the Great Britain rugby league captain completed his move to rugby union. "I think Andy can play in a number of different positions and this can pretty much revolutionise rugby union in terms of the skill he brings," said Robinson.
"There are not many players in rugby union with the skills that Andy has.
"He is a tremendous rugby player. Union is a 15-man game but it is a game that Andy can really impose himself on."
Robinson said he thought Farrell, who has signed for Zurich Premiership club Saracens, could play in a number of positions.
"The great thing is he is a tremendous rugby player," said Robinson.
"He has proved that and he has the skills that are used in both league and union.
"I think he could play inside centre and also in the back row.
Farrell is currently recovering from a knee injury and is hoping to be back to full fitness by mid-May.
He will train with the England squad as they prepare for the Churchill Cup, which will be held in Canada in June.
"Andy will further strengthen an England squad which I believe will progress and develop as we approach the Rugby World Cup and I want him to be part of that development," added Robinson.
