Saracens outscored Worcester by three tries to two for a hard-fought Premiership win at Sixways. Worcester moved 12-0 ahead early in the game with two tries by Ben Hinshelwood, one of which James Brown converted.
But Saracens fought back to 15-14 down at half-time following tries from Thomas Castaignede and Ben Russell.
Ben Johnston then made it three after the restart and Saracens held on for the win despite Brown's late penalty bringing Worcester within a point.
Afterwards Saracens coach Steve Diamond claimed Castaignede was "back to his best".
He said: "He was outstanding. The big thing for us about Thomas is that he's now played eight or nine games on the rattle.
"That's unknown in his career in England so far. As long as we can keep him fit and he trains hard then he warrants a place in the team."
For all Castaignede's promise, Saracens had looked in disarray after Hinshelwood's double onslaught in just 16 minutes. First he made the most of a sublime Dale Rasmussen off-load and then touched down his own chip and chase moments later.
But the visitors quickly regrouped and their attacking style was rewarded when Castaignede ran in with ease.
They were up against it at the end of the half, though, when Iain Fullarton was sin-binned for a punch.
Despite the one-man disadvantage, Russell foraged through to help Saracens to within a point of Worcester at half-time.
Johnston's burst down the left flank in the 49th minute moved Saracens into the lead for the first time in the match and they held onto it to the final whistle.
Worcester coach Andy Keast blamed Russell's try for the result.
Keast said: "The try just before half-time was a game swinger without a shadow of a doubt.
"It meant the swing of seven points ensured Saracens could play a certain way in the second period."
