Bristol flanker Craig Short will be out until Christmas after learning he requires another ankle operation, reports BBC Radio Bristol. The 30-year-old had surgery in the summer but will undergo another operation next week. Short started three of Bristol's first four Premiership matches before coming off against London Irish last month. Joe El-Abd is likely to continue at open-side in his absence, with Dan Ward-Smith also in contention.
