Att: 8,642 | Leicester claimed their first Powergen Cup victory with a comfortable win over struggling Worcester. The Tigers were never behind after George Chuter went over for a fifth minute try, converted by Ian Humphries. Worcester cut the lead to four points by half-time, thanks to a Ben Hinshelwood try, converted by Shane Drahm, who also kicked three penalties. But Leicester ran in another three second-half tries, including one from Austin Healey - his first in 14 games. Leicester coach Pat Howard:
"I don't think the scoreline was really a fair reflection of the game - they gave us a tough time up front. "At Newport we didn't play well in the wet but now we've got the chance to build on this performance. "I thought Martin Corry was absolutely outstanding - he led by example in the Martin Johnson style." Worcester coach John Brain:
"We were better than last week against Northampton although that wouldn't have been difficult. "We had a good second quarter of the game when we scored one try and made two chances that we didn't take. "But their two tries after half-time were cruel. You have to take your chances but on the positive side, we didn't suffer any more injuries."
