Lipman set to miss rest of season
Michael Lipman
Bath flanker Michael Lipman could miss the rest of the season after scans revealed the 25-year-old ruptured a tendon in his ankle.

There were fears he had fractured his lower leg after being stretchered off during the 6-6 draw with Leicester.

Initial scans showed there was no break but further investigation revealed the extent of the damage.

"The joint is considerably unstable at the moment," said Bath's head of physical preparation Chris Mallac.

"He has ruptured one ligament across where the tibia and fibula joins.

"In addition to the six weeks healing time, we are probably looking at around another six to eight weeks to get him fit again."
