Elloway will be out of action until 27 September |
Gloucester have banned one of their players for striking an opponent during a Guinness A League game. Hooker Rob Elloway has been suspended for two weeks following the incident in Monday's 37-7 win over Bath on Monday.
Elloway, 21, was shown the yellow card but Gloucester coach Dean Ryan took action after seeing the match tape.
"I accept the findings of the internal disciplinary hearing and would like to apologise to the individual concerned, my club and team-mates," said Elloway.
The fortnight's ban means Elloway is sidelined until 27 September.
Last week, Leicester banned Lewis Moody for four weeks after he struck Leeds' England Under-19 captain Jordan Crane.
